ASWICA

ASWICA is a professional body for experienced social workers in private practice with particular expertise in working with children and their families within the Cape Provinces. Amongst the rendering of other services, we serve the public through the implementation of the Children’s Act, No 38 of 2005.

Aims and Objectives

  • To promote our service to the courts, other professionals and the public

  • To provide excellence in service delivery

  • To provide for training opportunities through workshops and courses

  • To provide mentorship to less experienced colleagues

  • To provide professional support and peer consultation to members

  • To promote interdisciplinary liaison.

ASWICA members are committed to conducting ethical, independent assessments, with the focus on representing the best interests of the child or children involved, regardless of which party is paying for services.
